Are you cycling the EuroVelo 5 - Via Romea Francigena and going through Brussels? Are you looking for a place to stop?
visit.brussels has just launched two Bike Hubs to welcome cyclo-tourists and visitors wishing to discover Brussels by bike. The 2 Hubs are at See U (Ixelles) and the Grand Hospice (Brussels). This is a great way to highlight two unique locations where anyone travelling, cycling or visiting the capital by bike will find cycling-related services, facilities and activities.
"You will find everything you need for cycling: a place to hire and repair bikes, a starting point for guided bike tours, interesting information such as the "Brussels by bike" guide, bike-friendly accommodation and events to promote cycling. A great opportunity to discover Brussels in a different way", adds Patrick Bontinck, CEO of visit.brussels.
See U
See U is a place dedicated to the people of Brussels in the heart of Ixelles. See U is now the largest temporary installation in Belgium, synonymous with social and sustainable innovation, learning and experimentation.
The project is spread over a site of more than 45,000 m2, in the former Fritz Toussaint gendarmerie barracks in Ixelles, an ecosystem that brings together more than 100 project leaders from the associative, economic, cultural, academic and educational worlds. The project is already home to several bicycle-related projects (the Vélodroom, the Hors Catégories collective, Bike Packer, Brussels Big Bracket, etc.)

Le Grand Hospice
Le Grand Hospice is a new "cultural and social collaborative space" offering a variety of collective services and activities to the residents of the surrounding neighbourhoods and beyond. While waiting for major renovation work to be carried out in order to create a complex of housing units and collective services, the CPAS of Brussels has made the site available to an operator and an innovative project with a strong social and cultural orientation that meets the needs of the local residents.
