Thuin to Maubeuge

On RAVeL Sambre

The stage begins not far from the Thuin station, on the RAVeL on the left bank of the Sambre. It allows you to discover a large part of the history of canal transport and to join Erquelinnes by the convenience of the locks that punctuate this waterway.

In a green and relaxing setting, you will pass close by the villages of Lobbes, Merbes-le-Château and Solre-sur-Sambre, whose historic heart is of undeniable heritage interest.

Before crossing the French border, the Erquelinnes marina invites you to relax. You can also find many shops in Erquelinnes and a train station allowing you to reach all major Belgian and French cities
